Paddle Merchant of Record & Refund Handling
Paddle Payments Ltd / Paddle.com Inc
All financial transactions, billing, invoicing, and refunds are managed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle handles customer service inquiries, chargebacks, and refund requests in accordance with their Buyer Terms & Conditions. You can look up any past transaction or manage order inquiries directly at paddle.net.
1. Nature of Service & Instant Performance
shutmeup.lol offers instant, real-time digital advertising and promotional microphone spotlight services. When you place a bid and your payment is authorized via Paddle:
- Your handle, message, avatar, and hyperlink are broadcasted instantaneously to all active website visitors.
- Your strike is permanently recorded in the 24-hour daily archive and calculated in the cumulative Whaleboard ranking.
- Service delivery is fully executed and consumed at the exact moment of broadcast.
2. Statutory Right of Withdrawal Waiver (EU/UK/International)
Under consumer protection legislation (such as the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations), consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.
⚠️ Immediate Digital Fulfillment Consent:
Because this digital service is supplied immediately upon order confirmation, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital broadcast has been completed.
3. When Refunds ARE Granted (Eligible Scenarios)
We and Paddle are committed to fairness. We will gladly approve a full refund under the following circumstances:
If Paddle successfully charged your account, but a technical server error prevented your message from appearing on stage or being recorded.
If an unintended network timeout or duplicate checkout caused you to be billed multiple times for a single intended bid.
If your payment method was verified to be used fraudulently without your authorization, subject to standard Paddle fraud validation.
4. Non-Refundable Scenarios (Ineligible)
Refunds cannot be issued for standard platform gameplay and community interactions, including:
- Outbids / Short Airtime: If another competitor pays $1 more and silences you shortly after your bid. Outbidding is the core competitive mechanism of the game.
- User Input Errors: Submitting a typo in your text, an unintended avatar URL, or a broken destination link.
- Content Moderation Takedowns: If your submitted content violates our Terms & Conditions (e.g. hate speech, scam links, pornography) and is removed by platform moderators.
- Change of Mind: Buyer's remorse after your statement has already reached live visitors.
